Beverly Hills High School Gives The Boot

Almost 500 students that attend Beverly Hills High School, may get the boot. The Beverly Hills School board is deciding whether to kick out its students who don't live in the zip code 90210. These outside students are known as "permit students" and are getting state funding to attend the school because they don't live the area. The district feels that the money being used to fund the permit students can be used to fund the school. They feel that they shouldn't have to pay for outsiders. Others argue that this is just plain mean and that makes it seem as if the board doesn't care about its students. The school board has made a compromise to allow the 10th and 11th grade students to finish high school and the 7th graders to finish middle school. I think this is unfair to these students who are getting the boot. It would be a different story if they weren't letting anymore outside students in, but they kicking them out. Think about it like this, these kids have gotten so used to going to this school and all that it offers to its students. Trust me it has a lot to offer, I checked. I wish I could have went to that school. But, these kids are accustomed to they school, its environment, and the their fellow students. Just think of what that would do to the kid. Its just like when a woman get a divorce from their celebrity husband. She was married into that lifestyle and now that they're divorced, she can't go back to the way she was living before because she is now accustomed to that lifestyle. So why should these kids have to be booted from this very privileged school? It should be about the education and the well being of these kids, not the money.
